Emma Underwood is a transgender writer, musician, and filmmaker from Cincinnati, Ohio via Ithaca, New York.

She grew up in a rusty monotone Mid-Western town, searching for beauty in a hard world and a closed minded environment; where social norms were in harsh conflict with the world she longed to lived in.

Her work is the culmination of many years of experiments in underground music and art, thematically exploring queer identity and community building.

She is inspired by strong communities and finds her strength in human connection; she is a self-actualized creative with a sincere desire to learn, work, and collaborate - to tell stories that need to be told.
